Three Generations of a Family Painting Tradition

Where It Started

The Shumate family painting story began in northern Ohio, where an idea to build something of our own grew into a family trade. As the family grew, so did the business — and eventually that dream moved south to Houston.

In Houston, painting became a true family affair. Fathers, sons, and brothers worked side by side, building experience the old-fashioned way — on job sites, one project at a time. For decades, the work was passed down through the family along with the standards that mattered most: show up, do the work right, communicate clearly, and take pride in the finished job.

The finish is only as good as the preparation underneath.
